Well it’s that time of year again, when we all gather round to see what porn we’ve been watching all year round! This year the results are (as always) indicative of wider general trends relating to popular culture and politics, but what they exactly mean it’s hard to say but let’s allow the numbers to speak for themselves.
In 2019 Pornhub got a staggering 42 billion visitors, with on average 115 million visits per day. To give you an idea of the scale of porn watched, that is equivalent to 169 years of porn cumulatively watched by everyone! Holy smokes!

The top searches this year were (from least to most) Femdom, ASMR, Apex Legends, Bisexual, Mature, Cosplay, Belle Delphine. They are indicative for instance of video games played as well as a greater awareness of things such as ASMR (autonomous sensory merdien response) which is the sensation of having brain orgrasms or tingles from sounds like rustling and whispering – fairly tame stuff! These are always very curious and this year is no exception. In ascending order from least to most searched the top 5 most searched terms of 2019 were Korean, milf, lesbian, hentai, and the biggest one – Japanese! This is because there was a lot more interest coming in from Japan this year, which led to it being the fastest growing category!
Weirdest bit of stats?
The Top Gaining categories seemed strange to us, with Amateur and Verfied Couples gaining traction as well as Tattooed Women and Popular With Women.
