A couple roll around in the sand and things start getting heavy. Soon they’re having sex and the camera pans out revealing a beach littered with plastic, as people with Pornhub branded boiler suits wander around picking up the bits of rubbish that pollute an otherwise beautiful beach.
This isn’t some weird new fetish on Pornhub but rather a video the adult entertainment platform released called Dirtiest Porn Ever! as part of its Pornhub Cares initiative dedicated to combatting climate change, and more specifically, spreading information and combatting the use of single-use plastic.
The video was posted along with a pledge from the company that for every view the video got it would donate $1 to Ocean Polymers, a charity that has been advocating for clean oceans and leading the charge on reducing the use of single-use plastics.
In his statement about the video, Pornhub spokesperson Corey Price said it was important for the company to get behind an issue that felt close to it.
“Ocean pollution has grown to become one of the most significant global issues of our lifetime, and it’s only getting worse,” he said.
“That’s why it’s imperative that we use our platform to raise awareness and inspire change – not just for the time being but for generations to come.”
Pornhub Cares has in fact a lot of other supplementary information on the website about how to reduce our plastic usage.
The platform, obviously better known as the leading platform for porn worldwide and the website with the most hits in the history of the internet, has in recent years done a big job in rebranding itself as a consciousness raising company that in fact is known for many of its philanthropic projects!
I guess if you make all that money of sex might as well be generous!
